Although there’s still a bunch of games to get to this year, 2021 looks to be phenomenal due to several COVID-19 related delays. Arkane’s Deathloop is among those, and apparently will drop before next summer, according to New Zealand PlayStation Store listings.
The country’s digital store currently has pages for both the Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition live, with a May 21, 2021 date accompanying them. Publisher Bethesda hasn’t confirmed the game’s release date, but it does correspond with the projected Q2 launch window given by its Twitter in August.
There is a pre-order button in both of these listings, but unsurprisingly gives an error message when clicked on. Pre-order bonuses have been listed and are the Royal Protector Machete, a “Storm Rider” Colt character skin, and one additional Trinket.
The time-traveling title will be a PS5 and PC timed-exclusive, despite Microsoft purchasing Bethesda in September. As the deal will last a year, Xbox users will now have to look to May 2022 for their first taste of Deathloop.
