Demon’s Souls will take full advantage of Game Help, one of the newest functionalities introduced by PS5’s operating system. According to the details shared by creative director Gavin Moore, the remake will release with over 180 video guides players will be able to check every time they’ll need help.
“Moore says there are over 180 videos, each with increasing levels of visibility into what’s needed to complete portions of the game, available via the interface,” reports The Washington Post, in an interview with key developers behind PS5. “Stumped? Now you don’t even have to leave the screen.”
This will be part of Sony’s efforts in accessibility, trying and making the game enjoyable for the biggest audience possible.
Demon’s Souls is surely not known for how accessible it is, and Bluepoint Games made sure to put at good use Game Help with so many videos you can watch and learn how to go through some of the toughest sections in the game.
Game Help will be a PlayStation Plus bonus and will allow you to have a second Picture-in-Picture screen on the side of the screen you will choose always at your disposal, following the steps of testers from the studio to show you how it’s done.
With this, and the SSD granting fast load times, Moore is sure that frustration will be an old-gen feeling on Demon’s Souls.
“With the original I think the frustration didn’t come from the dying or the challenges. It came from the long load times waiting to get back into the game to take revenge and get your souls back and carry on with your adventure,” he said.
Now, “the solid-state drive is a game-changer,” so maybe you’ll keep dying a lot but will also play a lot more.
Demon’s Souls will be a faithful remake of the original game, which means it won’t introduce new areas to explore.
