Apex Legends has long been teased for its arrival to the PC gaming platform, Steam. PC gamers who wanted to head to the Kings Canyon or Worlds Edge had to use EA’s native gaming client, Origin. According to a recent announcement, Apex Legends will be coming to Steam in early November.
Players can download Apex Legends from the Steam store starting November 4. Apex Legends, originally released in the spring of 2019, was available on Origin, Xbox One, and Playstation 4. A Nintendo Switch version has been delayed to 2021. Since the game is free-to-play, there will be no purchases needed to use the Steam client. Players who have already played in the Origin client will be able to swap back and forth between the platforms and keep their progression consistent.
Anyone who plays the game on Steam will also receive free Portal and Half-Life themed gun charms. Apex Legends will be introduced to Steam users along with the seventh season of content, bringing in an all-new Legend and battle pass.
