What is the max level in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla?

Nearly everything you do in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will give you experience. From taking out enemies, performing stealth kills, discovering new locations, completing mysteries, finding artifacts, obtaining pieces of wealth, and much more. Each time you gain enough experience, your character, Eivor, gains two skill points. You need these skill points to fill out your skill tree, and it’s broken up into three distinct parts. With it being such a large tree, how many points do you need to complete it, and is there a maximum level you can reach?

What is the maximum level in Valhalla?

Developer Ubisoft did create a maximum level in Valhalla. You can reach it skill power 400. Once you reach 400, you’ll have enough points to fill out the entire tree, giving Eivor every advantage in combat they could need. You’ll be pretty unstoppable after that point. However, you can still gain more experience points by fighting enemies and taking out specific ways, such as performing a stealth kill, a headshot, or beating them in a straightforward encounter.

How do mastery levels work?

When you level up past skill level 400, you gain mastery levels. Master levels don’t go into any of the skill tree stats you’ve been using. Instead, three new skill locations open up on your skill tree, each for the three distinct parts: Bear mastery, Raven mastery, and Wolf mastery. You can place a mastery point in them and further increase Eivor’s skills.

These are the benefits you receive in each pool.

Bear mastery slightly increases these stats

  • Melee damage
  • Melee resistance
  • Health

Raven mastery slightly increases these stats

  • Assassination damage
  • Evasion
  • Health

Wolf

  • Ranged damage
  • Range resistance
  • Health

Each of the pools increases Eivor’s health, but the other parts further expand Eivor’s combat skills. These will likely be far more important when Ubisoft releases Valhalla’s new game plus mode when it becomes available.
